Democratic Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton broke with the Obama Administration to stop raids at Central American immigrant families’ home. She urged the President Obama to provide legal support to all the families including children who arrived at the US Mexico border.
Clinton criticizes the raids carried out by the Department of Homeland Security and also publicized a plan that according to her would help the undocumented families seeking asylum. The campaign said that “Above all, we need a comprehensive, long-term solution to this challenge,”
Clinton while speaking strongly against the immigration raids said in a statement "I do not think the raids are an appropriate tool to enforce the immigration laws. In fact, I think they are divisive, they are sowing discord and fear,”
Earlier this month Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE) detained 121 undocumented immigrants who crossed the border without proper documentation. The immigrants from Central America were in the process of deportation to their home countries.
