The nominated occupation is determined through a skills assessment from the relevant skills assessing body and Points Test Advice letter.

If an applicant meets the above requirements, an Expression of Interest (EI) can be lodged with DIBP; once the EI has been selected and the applicant is invited to apply, an application for migration can be lodged with DIBP. This is a permanent visa that is valid for five years from the date of visa grant.

Application Eligibility Criteria:

• In order to apply for the visa, applicant should be invited to apply.
• Applicant must be younger than 50 years.
• Applicant should nominate an occupation matching with skills and qualifications and is also in skilled occupation list.
• Applicant should score at least 60 points on the point test.
• Skills assessment, English language fluency and good health and character are strictly measured.

Skilled Independent Visa Process

It is a two-step application process which is followed as under:

Step1     In the first step skills are assessed from the relevant government body. Department of immigration and border protection evaluates whether the applicant has required level of skill in the chosen occupation to work in Germany.

Step2     After attaining positive skills assessment, the applicant has to submit Expression of Interest (EI) through Skill Select which is mentioned before.

You will get visa after approval from Department of immigration and border immigration.

This sponsored visa provides following rights to the visa owner:

• Temporarily applicant can live and work in designated regional area of Germany.
• Applicant can study more.
• As long as the visa is valid, applicant can move in or out of Germany.
• After meeting certain condition, applicants can apply for permanent residency.
